Claudiu Lung PhD Thesis

Theoretical and experimental contributions to the implementation of intelligent embedded systems

National and international studies on robots control and assistance applications perform experimental tests in order to develop new control algorithms and easier interaction with the assisted persons with disabilities. Implementations are made with a number of features that mimic human behavior, such as gripping, or sensory recognition which provides individuals’ degree of freedom and comfort. Also are designed and built various types of local and remote management applications for robots, dedicated to this purpose.

The goal of this PhD thesis is to achieve a smart sensor, capable of being used in a wide variety of applications such as industrial, building management, monitoring and in applications for people with disabilities. In this case, it has been designed and tested specific features: sensory interface, a data glove with wireless connectivity to an intelligent sensor for commands transmission.
